A plastic shed also looks like plastic (surprise!). Can you imagine a plastic shed in your backyard? Compare that with a vinyl sided wood shed that’s built with the same materials as your house. A vinyl-sided wood shed certainly has greater aesthetic value.
Yes you can customize a plastic shed, but it's not straight forward. You have two options, buy the 'official' extras sold by the manufacturer - which tend to be expensive, or make your own out of some plywood.
This depends entirely on your comfort level and experience. If you are unsure, consider a kit that has precut and drilled lumber.
And both Tuff Shed and Heartland Sheds offer a ton of exterior options to make your shed look just the way you want it to.
Jeffrey, live your reviews. I am interested in a resin shed that is about 10’ wide x 8’ deep (with the doors on the long side). However, most of them appear to have the doors on the shortest side (but with a longer depth). I like the Tremont, but it also appears to have the doors on the 8’ end, with 10’ depth. Do you know if there is a Tremont style shed with doors on the long side? Or perhaps another brand shed that is comparable to the Tremont? I’m shooting to keep my purchase cost to the $1,500-$2,000 price range. Thank you for your help! The only company that place doors along the length is Lifetime who I can think of. Lifetime manufacture an 8 x 10ft shed and a longer 8 x 15ft shed, both with the doors along the length.

Wow I didn’t realize there were so many shreds to choose from but the idea of no-rusting resin is interesting. This is a very complete review that I will bookmark when I am in the shred buying mode – hopefully soon, as I wish to move to a bigger place soon. Thanks for your attention to detail.

We purchased a pergola at Recreation Unlimited in June of 2019. There were repeated delays, and we finally got the pergola constructed in September. This year, on returning from our winter home, we found several issues with the pergola - the wood was not properly treated, the holes not pre-drilled properly, there are large cracks and splits in the entire structure. I keep hearing that the problem is with the company from which R.U. obtained the wood. I don't care, really, I gave my money to R.U. and they have yet to make this good. The problem was reported in March, and it is now mid-August. Attorney is our next step. Very frustrating!
